Clair Grill

Clair E. Grill, 82, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his residence in Wooster.

Friends may call Sunday from 5-7p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Road, Seville, OH 44273 . Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Graham officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Clair was born March 21, 1929, in Coddingville, Ohio to Kleber and Ruth {Derr} Grill. He served in the United States Air Force September 13, 1950 through September 12, 1954. Clair married Bettie Jane Sutton on August 4, 2002.

Clair enjoyed music and started playing when he was 4. He was a member of the Rubber Capital Harmonica Club and also played the bass, keyboards, fiddle, and the guitar. Clair was a member of the Masons for over 50 years and was a member of the Wadsworth Masons Lodge #385. Clair was a member of the Bethany Friends Church in Wadsworth. He worked for Ohio Bell for 30 years and retired in 1983. Clair was also an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter I of Wadsworth.

Clair will be deeply missed by his wife, Bettie Jane, sons Daniel Grill of Wooster, Jeffery Eichelberger of Medina, Richard (Jennifer) Eichelberger of Cuyahoga Falls, 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters Orline Givler of Rittman, Marion King of Wadsworth, niece Cheryl (Larry) Mohler of Sterling and friends Tony Kelley of Wadsworth, and Jim Topa of Akron.
