Clara Evelyn DiOrio, 90, of Wooster, died March 3, 2008 at the Wooster Community Hospital.
Clara was born April 17, 1917 in Orrville to Bryan W. and Rose Emma (Skelly)Carpenter. She married Albert G. DiOrio Sr. "Arby" on March 16, 1937. ?He preceded her in death on March 29, 1997 after 60 years of marriage.
Having grown up in Killbuck she was a resident of Wooster most of her life. ?She had attended nurses training at Kinney & Smith Hospital in Wooster. ?She retired from the Wooster Community Hospital in 1977 where she served as dietician.
Clara will be deeply missed by children Rosalie Beathler of Mansfield, Albert G. DiOrio Jr. (Linda Ogden) of Wooster, Patricia (James) Jeffries of Hartville and Deborah (Frederick) Potter of Wooster; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild, and a dear niece, Angela Gasbarre.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceeded in death by a grandson Albert G. DiOrio III; a brother Dale Carpenter; a sister Lillian Kinsel and niece Carol Bogner.
Service of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. ?Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
