Clarence "Bob" Dobbins, 83, of Wooster, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at West View Manor, Wooster. ?There will be no services. ?Private inurnment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com. ?
Clarence was born May 29, 1923 in Zanesville, to Clarence and Emily (Hilyard) Dobbins. ?He graduated from Zanesville High School, and then served in the U. S. Army during WWII. ?He married Janice Davis on November 10, 1961.
He worked in maintenance for General Electric and Diebolt's until he was disabled in 1985. ?He was a life member of the American Legion, Loudonville, and a life member of the Handyman's Club. ?He enjoyed woodworking and TV repair.
Clarence will be deeply missed by his wife, daughters Patricia Ann (Lyman) Dawson and Ellen Arlene Markley of Wooster, and Jennifer Kay (Art) Nelson of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren Walter and Matt Markley, Arthur and Jeremy Nelson, Danyelle Swain, Tony and Misty Dawson, Tracy and Ryan Whitmyer and Jason and Jessica Slater; 6 great-grandchildren; his dog Midge; and his cats Tuffy and Twinkletoes.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Maureen Lois Hendrix; and brother Earl Dobbins.
