Clarence L. Gist was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, February 17 2010. He was born May 7, 1940 in Gaffney, South Carolina to Foster and Ophelia (Coleman) Gist, both now deceased. Clarence accepted Christ at an early age and he was a member of St. Paul AME church.



Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Ollie, his daughter Lareesa (Walter) Rice and step children, Daphne Davidson (Early Whitaker), Anthony (Latanya) Sealey, and Garry Sealey, a sister, Annie M. Epps, 2 brothers, Leon Gist, James H. (Eva) Gist, 5 sister-in-laws, Martholia Gist, Lucinda Buchanan, Juanita Johnson, Bernice Geeter and Mary Thaxton, and 3 brother-in-laws, Ocie (Patricia) McKinney, Esque (Lillie Sue) McKinney and Donell (Jacquline) McKinney.



Services will be Saturday, February 20 at 12:30pm at St Paul’s AME Church at 4118 Brookside Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, February 19, 2010 from 7-9 pm at the church. Floral bouquets may be delivered to the church on Friday before 4 pm.
