Clarence Messenger

Clarence M. Messenger, 95 died Friday, November 26, 2010 at his home in Smithville. Services will be Thursday December 2, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Larry Rickey officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens , where military rites will be held. Friends may call Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 6 PM to 8 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home . Clarence was born August 18, 1915, in Brackston County, West Virginia to James and Pamela Jane (Long) Messenger. Clarence married Stachie Marks on November 17 , 1940. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theater . He was employed at Quality Casting and worked at Orrville Milk Company for over 22 years. He was a lifetime member of Orrville VFW #3446. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.





Clarence will be deeply missed by his wife Stachie, daughter Carol (Sam) Fickle of Smithville, grandchildren Annette, Mark (Chris), Todd, Jwana, great-grandchildren Brittany, Aubrey, Emily, Cody, Damian, Angel , and brother, Raymond (Alice) Messenger of Smithville.


He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Vickie Blair.
