Cora Becker

Cora Pearl Becker, 90, of Wooster, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at West View Manor in Wooster.



Services will be Thursday at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.



Pearl was born March 31, 1921 in Sardis, Ohio to Morris “Marce” and Cora L. {Billiter} Romick. She married Lloyd Becker on June 6, 1988. He survives.



Pearl worked for Freedlanders for 35 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First Church of God and enjoyed spending time gardening, quilting, and crocheting.



Pearl will be deeply missed by her loving husband Lloyd; children Katheryn (Donald) Taylor and Ronald (Nancy) Smith; Grandchildren Athena (Alan) Sheppard), Ronald Junior (Debbie) Smith), Jacklyn (Stan) Olevnik, Jayson Taylor and Teresa Giardina, Joseph (Lisa) Taylor; Step-grandchildren John (Carol) Quicci, Susan (Jason) Anderson; Great-Grandchildren Alexandra Olevnik, August Giardina-Taylor; siblings Merle Romick, Garnet Foltz, and Thierra Daly; and numerous step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her first husband Jay A. Smith, brother Dale Romick and sister Louise Gilreath .
