Corbett Martin Sr., 81, of Barberton, passed away on April 24, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1928 in Drift, KY. Corbett’s Aunt Becky raised him.
He Served in USMC during the Korean War where he earned the Purple Heart. Corbett married Loretta Mae Osborne on August 30, 1957.
She passed away on October 2, 2005. He enjoyed fixing things, scratching lottery tickets and watching westerns and cartoons.
Corbett loved making family dinners and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his children:
Corbett Martin Jr. of Barberton, Rhonda (Ron Fox) Martin of Barberton, Diane (Tim) Barnett of Millersburg, Sherry Martin of Barberton, Grandchildren: Wally, Michael, Ricky and Sarah, Great-Grandchildren: Jayden and Ma’ryah, brother Aster, sisters Etta Mae and Nancy. His wife Loretta preceded Corbett in death. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
