Dalton Harwood, 87 of Wooster died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be held Monday at 2pm at the Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, 7067 Cleveland Rd., Wooster with Pastor George Johnson officiating.Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster where military rites will be held.Online tributes may be made at

Dalton was born August 19, 1921 in Crawfordsville, INto Lonnie W. and Mamie W. {McCullough} Harwood.He served overseas for 3 years in the US Army during WWII.He married Doris Wood in August 1952. She died in July, 1963.While married to Doris, Dalton had 2 sons Gregg and Kevin.In 1964 he married Sadie Rohrer. She died in 2004.
Dalton graduated from Crawfordsville High School, then from Purdue University and was an agricultural sales representative for Armour Chemical Co and Mobil Chemical Co. in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.He retired in 1975.Dalton was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Wooster and enjoyed reading and traveling.
Dalton will be deeply missed by his sons Gregg of West Dundee, IL and Kevin of Smithville.
In addition to his wives, Dalton is preceded in death by his brothers Ronald and Gerald Harwood.
