David Hefner

David Hefner, 77, Hayesville, OH, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Mifflin Care Center. ?He was born August 27, 1930 in Orlando, WV, the son of Edward and Lillie (Queen) Hefner. ?He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. ?He retired from Ashland Vault in 1995 and David's Own Cleaners in 1999. ?David will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Mary, sons Charles Hefner Jr. of Akron, Wayne (Kathy) Hefner of Ashland, daughters Rose Ann Hefner of Ashland, Diane (Ray) Bowman of Jeromesville, sisters Ann Dye of Weston, WV, Rosie Sommerville of Hurricane, WV, brother Carl Hefner also of Weston, WV, grandchildren Derek Williams, Michael Hay, Brandon Hefner, Shelby Hefner, Toshia Sprouse, Nicole Lindecamp, Tabitha Rhodes, Shelly Keefer, Sarah Johnson, Charlie Johnson Jr., and several great-grandchildren. ??David is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susan Hefner, and brother James Hefner. ?Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 5 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - Ashland Chapel, 1058 US 250 W., Ashland with Carl Breit officiating at the 2:00 p.m. funeral service. ?Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park where the Ashland County Joint Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. ?
