David William Parker, 54, of Rock Hill, South Carolina and formerly of Wooster, died of a sudden illness, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Ron Burns officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.

David was born January 30, 1954 in Wooster to Thomas and Mabel (Rock) Parker.He married Sharon King in 1998.
He was a graduate of Wooster High School, and retired from the U. S. Navy serving during the Gulf War.He later had been employed at Frito Lay, Inc.He was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and NASCAR.
David will be deeply missed by his wife and children Aaron and Sarah Parker and step-sons James and Christopher King and Antonio Jackson, 16 step-grandchildren and a brother James (Sharon) Parker of Marysville, Ohio and a sister Patricia (Gerald) Beeman of Wooster, and a special nephew Jeffrey (Kerry) Boss of Lewis Center, Ohio.
David was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Parker and an infant son Derek.
