Delbert Jarvis

July 25, 1935 — February 4, 2011

Delbert Nathan Jarvis, 75, of Akron, passed away on Friday, February 4, at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Barberton. He was born on July 25, 1935 in Newton, West Virginia to McClellan and Mary (Drake) Jarvis. Delbert graduated from Spencer, West Virginia High School and attended West Virginia Tech. He married Margaret E. Pierson on May 19, 1973 and she preceded him in 2001. He served for 4 years in the US Air Force and retired from General Motors after 40 years of employment. He was a member of Reimer Road Baptist Church since 1973 and enjoyed camping.







Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7:30 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Road, Seville with Pastor Jim Newton officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on from 6-7:30 P.M. on Monday.



Delbert is survived by stepchildren Charlotte (James) Gemmel of Virginia, Richard Murray of Wadsworth, David Murray of Akron, Jeanine (Glenn) Kozak of Oklahoma, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters Burlyn (Arthur) Brannon of Florida. and Doris (William) Mace of Alabama.
