Dennis G. Oldaker, 75, of Wooster, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Smithville Western Care Center, in Wooster.



Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Matthew Wald officiated. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. Dennis was born May 26, 1936, in Montgomery, West Virginia, to Okey O. and Hazel M. {Lykins} Oldaker.



He graduated from Nuttall High School in 1954 and went to the Wooster Business College in 1974. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.



He married Vicky J. Bell on July 17, 1997. She survives.



Dennis worked at National Acme as a Sheet Metal Specialist from 1963-1975. He then worked in the Sales Industry until 2005. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, the Eagles, and The American Legion. Dennis enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He earned many trophies pitching horseshoes.



Dennis will be deeply missed by his wife Vicky; children Denise Oldaker of West Salem, Pamela Oldaker, and Greg (Tiffany) Oldaker all of Wooster; stepson Tyler Weaver, grandchildren Matt and Mitch Oldaker, Celia and Sawyer Topovski, Allie and Colton Oldaker; one great-granddaughter Zoey Oldaker; a sister Janet (Johnny) Gregorio; and special friend and shipmate Dennis Shrewsbury.



Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Glenn Oldaker; sisters Alma Workman, Anna Jean Oldaker, Carolyn Stout, and Phyllis Miller.
