Dolores LaRue

September 14, 1931 — January 13, 2006

Dolores "Dee" Jane LaRue, 74, of rural Ashland, fought a good fight and went to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 13, 2006.

She was born Sept. 14, 1931, in Mansfield, the daughter of Orville Clifford and Edith White Furr.

Mrs. LaRue was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She had worked at WNCO writing commercials for many years, ending her career at the cable company doing commercials.

She was the owner of LaRue's Pictures of Health from 1981 until the late 1990s. She started that business in downtown Ashland, which was family operated for many years.

Mrs. LaRue was a member of First Christian Church and the Farm Bureau.

She and her husband had a pontoon boat in Mifflin for 15 years, which they enjoyed together every weekend. They also enjoyed traveling.

She was married July 28, 1950, to Galen Edward LaRue, who preceded her in death Nov. 16, 1999.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Will Anderson of Ashland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Lynn LaRue and Greg and Michele LaRue, all of Ashland; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorretta Jones of Ashland.

Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Roberts Funeral Home, 1058 US 250 North, Ashland, with the Rev. John C. O'Hara officiating.

Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.
