Donald Lamson

Donald Herbert Lamson, 83, of Barberton, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at The Inn of Medina. He was born August 4, 1926 in West Richfield, Ohio to George and Elinor (McCleary) Lamson. Don was a graduate of Copley High School and served in the US Army (Big Red One) during WWII. He married Norma Jean Eggert on May 7, 1947. He was retired from Packaging Corporation of America after 42 years of service, a member of VFW Post 1089, American Legion Post 170 and Wadsworth Moose 2070.

Don will be deeply missed by children Sue (George) Steele of Wadsworth, Don Jr. (Lyn) of Oak Harbor, WA., N. Jean Lamson (Scott McKee) of Barberton, and David (Denise) of Mentor, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and brother Robert Lamson of Oak Harbor, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma, his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Chris Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
