Dorothy Mae Hootman, 83, of Ashland, died Friday, November 30, 2007, at her residence in Ashland.
Dorothy was born October 26, 1924 in Ashland to Ira and Halley Mae (Gerwig) Plank. ?She married Albert H. Hootman on July 15, 1944. ?Albert preceded her in death in 1996.
Dorothy retired from A.L. Garber Co. after 20 years of service. ?She liked to play cards, walk her dog, and bake pies.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her children Dennis (Jamie) Hootman of Ashland and Harold Hootman of Conneaut, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother Donald Plank of Seattle, WA, and sister Norma (Kenneth) Long of Ashland.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Fred and Richard, sisters Mildred, Porosha, Margarette, and Helen.
A private family memorial service was held at Roberts Funeral Home - Ashland Chapel. ?Interment will be at Ashland County Memorial Park at a later date.
