Earl "Jack" Dale Cunningham, 60, of Ashland, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Jack was born March 4, 1947 in Wheeling, WV to James L. and Dolores Mary (Groves) Cunningham. ?He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart Award.
Jack married Lynn Ann Hall on May 2, 1970. ?He was employed at Custom Hoist and retired after 21 years of service. ?He was a member of the American Legion and AmVets Post 96where he was a trustee. ?Jack also served as the Department Inspector General for the AmVets. ?He enjoyed traveling and spending wonderful times with his children and grandchildren.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife Lynn, daughters Michele Schaffer of Ashland and Donna (Jason) Kritz of West Salem, son Elmer (Nicole) Cunningham of Savannah, TN, six grandchildren, brother George Cunningham of Mechanicsville, VA, and sisters Florence (George) Spiker of Richmond, VA and Cora Morton of Weirton, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - Ashland Chapel, 1058 US 250 West, Ashland, with Chaplain Gerald Gess officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park following the service where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
