C. Edd ?Simmons, 87, of Orrville died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville. ?Services will be Wednesday at 2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. ?Burial will be at Sherwood
Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.

He was born March 3, 1919 in Valley Head, West Virginia to Parker E. and Addie (Arbogast) Simmons. ?He married Wilma J. Hoffman on December 20, 1946. ?She died March 1, 2003.
He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during WWII. ?He worked for the City of Orrville Street Department for 17 years, retiring in 1984. ?He was a member of the Church of
Christ in Orrville and the American Legion #68 in Wooster. ?He enjoyed playing cards, loved his pets and enjoyed working in his garden.
Surviving are daughters Kathy (Don) Camargo of Sun City, California and Dorothy "Dotty" Moore of Bolder, Colorado and son Phillip Ray (Karen) Simmons of New Mexico, ?stepchildren Paula Carr of Wooster and Wayne (Iris) Warner of Orrville; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother Junior Simmons of Valley Head, West Virginia.
In addition to his wife an infant daughter, brothers Glen and Keslar Simmons and sisters Ruth Simmons and Letha Roberts died previously.
