Edna Bricker

April 14, 1925 — March 1, 2012



She was born April 14, 1925 in Wayne County to the late, George M. and Clara (nee’ Hootman) Schwartzwalder.


Edna married the love of her life, Harold David Bricker on January 9, 1945 in Greenup, Kentucky.After their marriage, the couple would call Ashland home.


She retired from Ashland University after many years of service as an office assistant in the Building Services Department.


Edna was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly Church in Ashland.She has always had numerous hobbies; particularly sewing and gardening, to only name a few.


She is survived by two daughters, Carol Grim of Ashland and Patt Bahn of Delaware; six grandchildren, D.Scott Grim of Decatur, Illinois, M. Todd Grim of Ashland, Tamara (David) Gwinn of Wooster, Lyndsey (Quaye) Trimble of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Alyson Bahn of Delaware, and Wrenn Bahn of Delaware; nine great-grandchildren, Coy (Sabrina) Gibbons of Ashland, Lexi Gibbons of Wooster, Deanna Jo Grim of Ashland, McKinzie Grim of Port Orchard, Washington, Matthew Grim of Mansfield, Alyssa Grim of Ashland, Riley Gwinn of Wooster, Carson Gwinn of Wooster, and Bodhi Trimble of Myrtle Beach, SC; two great-great grandchildren, Oliver and Brayden Gibbons; one sister, Nellie DeLancy of Ashland; and one brother, Clarence Schwartzwalder of Jeromesville.


In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years of marriage, Harold D. Bricker who passed away on June 13, 2000; four sisters, Mae Dolby, Relda Shopbell, Ada Kaufman, and Mildred Sovine; an infant sister, Mary Amelia Schwartzwalder, and two brothers, Ward and Hugh Schwartzwalder.


Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, with Dr. Paul Tracy Sr. officiating.Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery at a later date.Friends may call prior to the service from 10am-12pm at the funeral home.
