Edna Wheeland

Edna May “Cookie” Wheeland, 80 of Wadsworth, died Thursday, July 30 at Alter Care of Wadsworth. She was born September 11, 1928 in Wadsworth to Albert and Ethel (Crone) Fulton. She married Frederick Wheeland on May 29, 1948. Edna May worked for The Ohio Match Company, Barefoot Sole and drove school bus for Wadsworth City Schools. She was a member of Grace and Truth Tabernacle Church and secretary/ treasurer, played the organ for the church, collected knick-knacks with Teddy Bears and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Edna May will be deeply missed by her husband, daughters Pamela (Thomas) Fiala of Spencer, Paula (David) Elbon of Orlando, FL, Carol Watson of San Diego, CA., son Thomas Wheeland of Lakeworth, FL. 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and sister Loretta Wheeland of Wadsworth. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Roy and Earl.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville, with Pastors Wayne Lafollette and Rick Colelli officiating.
