Emily Jane Smith Phillips, 66, of Ashland, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005.
Emily was born April 8, 1939, in Ashland County, the daughter of Eugene and Ada Smith.
Emily was employed for several years at National Latex. Others enjoyed her crafts and flower arrangements. Emily loved her large bear collection.
She was married to James Phillips.
Surviving are her son, Timothy Phillips of Elyria; her daughter, Rhonda Russell Viana of Lauderhill, Fla.; special friend, Charlene Smith; her sister, Betty Spencer of Ashland; four grandchildren, Tiffany Gonzalez of Detroit, Mich., Mandi Russell of Mansfield and T.J. and Nicole Phillips of Elyria; three great-grandchildren, Justice and Marshal Gonzalez and Grant Russell; and nieces and nephews.
Her parents; a son, Leonard Phillips; two sisters, Gladys Morgan and Lois Peterson; and a brother, Paul Sovine, preceded her in death.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Roberts Funeral Home, 1058 US 250 North, Ashland, with John DeLozier officiating. Entombment will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.
There will be no calling hours.
