Estelle Batdorf, of Wooster, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Westview Manor in Wooster. ?Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with Rev. Jimmy McComas officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. She was born September 6, 1927, in Spindale, N.C. to Fred G. and Fannie (Slusser) Hudgins. She married Harry Batdorf on January 29, 1964. ?He passed away in 2002.
She was a homemaker and attended Canaan Freewill Baptist Church. ?She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and growing plants.
She will be deeply missed by her children, son Herman (Wanda) Teague of Fredericksburg, stepdaughter Karen (Bill) Fought of Shreve, stepsons Larry (Sandy) Batdorf of Seville, Ron (Thelma) Batdorf of Mansfield and Jim (Connie) Batdorf of Wooster; 2 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren; brothers Fred Hudgins of N.C. and Leroy Hudgins of N. C. and special friends Catherine & Don Beam, Eileen & Archer Purvis, Betty Wile, and John Leach.
Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, stepgrandson Doug Batdorf, brother Kenneth Hudgins, James Hudgins, and sister Jackie Marshal.
