Esther Hymes

Esther May Hymes, of Medina, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born May 25, 1929 in Smithfield, West Virginia to

Harry and Essie (Edgell) Johnston. She married William H. Hymes on December 30, 1944. Esther had been an employee of GE Manufacturing in Cleveland, and she enjoyed gardening, and loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Esther will be deeply missed by her daughter, Nancy McKane of Kentucky, four granddaughters; Melanie, Noel, Christine, and Cindy, two great granddaughters; Anna Elise and Allison Claire and twin sister Esteen Stout of Clarksburg, West Virginia. Her husband William, her parents and six brother and sisters, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, at 3:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Wadsworth. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
