Everett S. Bruce, 81, of Wooster, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at his residence.Friends may call Monday October 11 from 6 to 8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.Services will be Tuesday October 12 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Robert J. Groenke officiating.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com . Everett was born March 14, 1929, in Holmes County to Fred and Anna {Ammons} Bruce.


He was a 1947 Graduate from Holmesville High School.Everett honorably served in the US Air Force from 1947-1953.He married Rosemary Younker on May 1, 1961.He retired in 1991from The Wooster Brush Company after 36 years of service. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 551 and the Loyal Order of Moose.He enjoyed sports, including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and Browns, gardening and mushroom hunting.


A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Everett will be deeply missed by his wife, Rosemary, son Steven (Marjorie) Bruce of Shreve; grandchildren Alisha (Steven) Wild, Steven E., Amanda, daughter-in-law Melinda Bruce, grandchildrenNicholas, Justin and Jeremy Bruce; great-grandchildren Hannah and Halie Bruce; sister Verda Vaughn of Holmesville.


Everett was preceded in death by his parents, son Curtis Bruce,brothers Don, Lynn, Robert and Homer; and sisters Nadine, Florence, Beatrice and Louise.
