Faye Shields, 89, of Wooster died Monday October 2, 2006 at Smithville Western Care Center. ?Services will be Thursday at 10:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Bud Olszewski officiating. ?Burial will be at Sharon Cemetery, Sharon, OH. ?Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com. ?
She was born April 19, 1917 in Caldwell, Ohio to Earl and Iva (Marquis) Courtney. ?She married Clay Shields on December 29, 1945. ?He preceded her in death in 1998.
She graduated from Forest Grove High School. ?She worked for McClintock Electric, Buehlers, Underwood Lincoln/Mercury and D. A. Waldron.
She was a former member of Eastern Star, and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are sons Marcus (Bonnie) Shields, Larry (Helen) Shields and Jon (Linda) Shields all of Wooster, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, and sister Nellie Collins died previously.
