Fern L. Edwards, nee Crawford, 99, of Sterling, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at her residence.?Friends may call Friday from 10am to 11am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.?Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Kenn Curren officiating.?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.?

She was born September 5, 1911 in Holmesville, Ohio to Charles and Blanche (Zehnder) Crawford.?She married Herman Edwards on October 6, 1933.
She graduated from Holmesville High School in 1929 as Valedictorian and attended Wooster Business College.
She enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, traveling and playing cards.?She was a member of Holmesville United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star of Shreve and College of Wooster Rebounders.
She worked at the Fredricksburg Pottery, Millersburg Farm Bureau and retired from the Smithville Farm Bureau in 1973.
Fern will be deeply missed by daughters Martha (Milo) Sturgis of Wooster, Beverly (Gerald) Caskey of Sterling and son Michael (Cindy) Edwards of Wooster, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, a brother Robert Miller of New Philadelphia and a sister Carol Jameson of Holmesville, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985, brothers John Crawford and Richard Douglas and sisters Martha Ludwick and Janice Patterson.
