Floyd M. Bigler, 92, of Wooster, passed away September 25, 2010 at Wooster Community Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1918 in Holmes County, to the late Christian and Amanda (Crilow) Bigler. He married Twila M. Holl of Navarre on September 30, 1950. She died in 2008. He was a graduate of Millersburg High School and later of The Ohio State University. Floyd served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Second World War. He was employed by the C.G. Rausch C.P.A. accounting firm in Akron, and later by the U.S. Congressional GAO agency in Cleveland. Floyd was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster. He was later employed by The Lewis Research Center at NASA in Cleveland, retiring in 1974. Floyd enjoyed growing flowers, reading, following the stock market, and working on the computer.
Floyd will be deeply missed by his children, Janet (Bruce) Waldschmidt of Claxton, TN, Alan (Mary) Bigler of Millersburg, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, a brother Ollen (Dorothy) Bigler of Navarre. In addition to his wife and parents, Floyd was preceded in death by brothers Ralph, Clarence and Donald Bigler and sisters Vera Maxwell, Esther Bigler, and Inez Walters.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Memorial Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Eschelman officiating.
