Floyd Smith, Jr., 77, of Morristown, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
He was born February 7, 1934 in Greenfield, Ohio to Floyd M. Sr. and Beatrice {McKibben} Smith.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Floyd married Norma Jean Mohler on September 8, 1958.
She died July 27, 1994.
Floyd was a boiler operator for the Apple Creek Developmental Center.
He is survived by his children, Tracey (John) Bower of Whitesburg, TN, Mark (Joyce) Smith of Pickford, MI, Denise (Mitch) Holdway of Newport, TN, and Penny (Thomas) Franklin of Morristown, TN; grandchildren, Bryce Bower, Valerie Talley, Shane Bower, Callie Smith, Olivia Smith, Connor Smith, Sierra Holdway, Weston Holdway, Aaron Smith, and Karrah Franklin; brothers, Howard (Kathy) Smith of Greenfield, OH and Charles (Bonnie) Smith of Bainbridge, OH; and five great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Smith; parents, Floyd M. Sr. and Beatrice {McKibben} Smith; son, Brian Smith; and granddaughter, Letha Bower.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 4pm at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.
