Frances Murr

Frances Murr, 95, of Wooster passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 at West View Manor in Wooster. Mass services will be Monday at 11AM at St. Mary Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is handling the arrangements.

Frances was born July 21, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio to Herman and Catherine (Faulhaber) Satink. She married Joseph M. Murr on September 10, 1935. He died April 20, 1994. She and her husband Joe owned and operated Plaza Lanes for 17 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Daughters of America, St. Francis Xavier Mission Circle, Wayne County Care Center Auxiliary since 1994, and the Legion of Mary.



She was a life member of the Wayne County Historical Society. She volunteered her time and efforts to various nursing homes in the area. She always gave of herself in her community and church in Wooster, Kissimmee and St. Cloud, FL



Frances will be deeply missed by her children Mary (Ralph) Reinmann of Kissimmee, FL, Frances (William) Ostrom of Akron, Paul (Michael) Murr of Beaufort, South Carolina, Albert (Linda) Murr of Winchester, Virginia, Lucy (William) Woods of North Canton, Geri (William) Rea and Joseph (Jane) Murr all of Wooster and Robert (Linda) Murr of Beaufort, South Carolina, 26 grandchildren , 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.



In addition to her husband Joseph, Frances was preceded by a brother Clements and sisters Eleanor and Clara.
