Frank H. Connock, Sr., of Wooster, died Tuesday December 27, 2005 at his son's residence in Wooster. ?Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Rev. Jerry Au officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be observed. ??Cremation is being handled by Remembrance Cremation Center. ?Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is handling arrangements. ?Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525A Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
He was born September 6, 1921 in Huntington, WV to Alfred H. and Jennie (Morland) Connock. ?He married Edith Yates on November 24, 1943. ?She died January 30, 2005.
He served in the U.S. Navy and worked in the oil fields for many years. ?He had also been a truck driver. ?He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Amvets and V.F.W. ?He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and his dog Ginger.
Surviving are sons, Robert (Theresa) Connock of Carrollton, Frank (Rebecca) Connock, Jr. and Alfred (Marilyn) Connock both of Wooster and Danny (Lori) Connock of West Salem; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Jeanette Yates of Baltimore, OH.
In addition to his wife; grandson Joshua Connock; sisters Hazel and Hattie;and brothers Howard, Claude and Wilbert died previously.
