Fred L. Mullen, 66, of Wooster, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Wooster Community Hospital. ?Services will be Tuesday at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with the Rev. Fred was born April 24, 1941 in Akron to Charles and Mary {Perri} Mullen. ?He married Rebecca A. Daniel on June 17, 1961. ?
He was a 1959 graduate from Akron South HS where he was class president. ?He earned his BS degree from Case Institute of Technology in 1963, and his Masters Degree from the University of Akron in 1966. ?Fred worked for Goodyear Aerospace and then as a professor for the University of Akron for 26 years, retiring in 1993. ?In addition, he spent 5 years part time in Hong Kong setting up the technology network for HKUST. ?He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Health of Holmes County. ?Fred was a member of the Parkview Church of Christ, where he performed all of the IT work. ?He was a farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Fred will be deeply missed by his wife Becky, sons Jeffrey A. (Diane) of Millersburg, Dennis K. (Cindy) of Kingston, TN, Bradley N. (Kathryn) of Wooster, Matthew P. (Jolene) of Sugarcreek, Charles F. (Veronica) of Wooster; grandchildren Patrick, Perry, Allison, Emily, Rebecca, Angela, Bradley, Kelsey, Madison, Hannah, Matthew, Sydney, and Jacob Mullen; his mother of Akron; brother Donald (Karen) Mullen of Stow; and a large, loving extended family.
Fred was preceded in death by his father.
