Frederick Lee Coffman, Sr., 61, of Ashland, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at The Hospice House in Ashland.
He was born July 13, 1945, in Ashland, the son of William Frederick and Mabel Jean (Friend) Coffman.
Fred married Mary Roberts on May 6, 1972. ?He was a farmer, a member of Ashland Church of God, and an avid card player. ?Fred loved to collect eagles, wrote poetry, enjoyed listening to Christian music, and hearing God?s word.
Fred will be deeply missed by his wife Mary and mother Mabel Coffman. ?He is also survived by children Frederick (Valerie) Coffman Jr. of Coshocton, Matthew (Jaime) Coffman of Ashland, Lucas Coffman of North Carolina; seven grand-daughters; brothers William (Janet) Coffman and Robert (Janet) Coffman both of Ashland, Gaylord (Nancy) Coffman of Jeromesville, and Jack (Debbie) Coffman of Norwalk; and sisters Shirley (Ralph) Scyoc of LaGrange and Karen Roberts of Washington state.
Fred is preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home ? Ashland Chapel, 1058 U.S. 250 West, Ashland with Pastor Barbara Henderson officiating. ?Burial will follow the service at Ashland County Memorial Park. ?Friends may call Wednesday, June 20 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
