Garmon Rose, 71, of Polk, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at his residence. ?He was born March 20, 1936 in Clintwood, VA, to Henry S. and Lilly Mae (Bise) Rose.
Garmon served in the U.S. Army. ?He married Rosella Bates on February 3, 1962, she survives. ?They enjoyed 46 years together.
Garmon retired from Premium Building Products after 20 years of service. ?He attended Graber Brethren Church. ?He was also a member of the P.A. Reinhard Muzzleloading Rifle Club.
In addition to his wife Rosella, Garmon will be deeply missed by his son and daughter-in-law Darrin & Renee Rose of Ashland, daughter and son-in-law Teresa & Bryan Wallace of Polk, grandchildren Ashley and Jacob of Polk, brothers Arlis Rose of Kodak, TN, Bill Rose of Mansfield, James "Bud" Rose of Knoxville, TN, sister Shelby Boggs of Clintwood, VA, and mother-in-law Miriam Bates of Ashland.
Garmon was preceded in death by his parents and son Russell.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - Ashland Chapel, 1058 U.S. 250. ?Rev. Troy Cummings will be officiating. ?Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park where military rites will be observed.
