OBITUARY

Gary “Roy” Ernest Shook, of Wadsworth died Friday, December 9, 2011 after a two-week illness. He was born March 1, 1936 in Seville, Ohio to Ernest A. and Helen L. (Cook) Shook. He served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960’s. He married Jean Lynn Glessner on April 23, 1966. He was employed at Premier Pontiac and retired in 2001 after over 20 years service as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed taking his 1940 Coupe (Roy Toy) to car shows and was an avid stock car racer.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Jean; son, Ernest; daughter, Darla (Tom) Coray; three grandchildren; Courtney Shook, Casey Shook, and Anthony Coray; and sister, Joanne (Joseph) Wanko. His mother and father preceded him in death.

Services will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 12:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Rd., Wadsworth, Ohio 44282. Friends may call
