Gene A. Bretz, 77, of Wooster ?passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at his residence. A Celebration of Life service will be Monday at 2:00pm ?at Roberts Funeral

Gene was born on August 16, 1929 in Millersburg to Elmer L. and Florence M. (Spring) Bretz. ?He was a ?Master Sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he earned 2 purple hearts. ?He married Betty Fisher on December 23, 1967.
Gene worked for Rubbermaid for 41 years retiring in 1991. ?He was a member of Central Christian Church, VFW in Killbuck and NRA. ?He loved hunting, fishing and traveling in his boats and motor home. ?
Gene will be deeply missed by his wife. Surviving are children Michael Bretz of Glenmont and Cathy (Dennis) Kaser of Millersburg, step-son Danny W. (Carol Belchambers) Fisher of Akron, grandchildren Derrick and Brad Kaser and step-grandchildren Cynthia and Jennifer Willis, brother Don Bretz of Fredericksburg and sister Wanda Bowers of Wooster, and his devoted cat Foster.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents.
