George Casey

September 26, 1922 — January 16, 2008

George E. "Tom" Casey, 85, of Wooster, died Wednesday January 16, 2008 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville. ?Friends may call Monday one hour prior to the 11:00am service at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Rev. William Valentine officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.

George was born September 26, 1922 in Swords Creek, Virginia to Ezra and Bertha Casey

He served in the U.S. Army Corps. ?George married Anna Belle Shelton. ?George enjoyed reading, watching Nascar, football, especially the Buckeyes. ?He was an avid sports fan.

George will be deeply missed by his children Carl (Michelle) Casey of Wooster, Carol Wyand of Painesville, Mary Stanton of Phoenix, Arizona and Alice (Bill) Bowers of Orrville, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a brother Edward (Sonia) Casey of Loudonville.

He was preceded by his wife AnnaBelle, children George W. and Gary R. Casey, and ?brothers and sisters Eula Chupp, Elena Helton, Viola Warner, Mary Ellen Jackson, Garnet Casey, Jim Casey, Evelyn Griffith and Cecil Casey.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Medical Staff at Dunlap Memorial Hospital.
