G. William (Bill) Mitchell, age 85 passed away March 10, 2008, at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Rittman. He was born in Christiansburg, Montgomery County, Virginia on September 30, 1922 to Arthur Glenn and Seymora (Fagg) Mitchell. He married Jeantta Foster in 1953 and she survives him. Bill was a graduate of the University of Virginia School of law and a member of the Virginia and Ohio Bar Associations. He served as elder in the Presbyterian Church of Barberton and had been in Naval Aviation in WWII. He was a resident of Wadsworth since 1968.
Private family services will be conducted at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Reford Nash. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Bill is survived, in addition to his wife Jean of Wadsworth, and by daughter-in-law Tami Mitchell of Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Medina County SPCA, Wadsworth Salvation Army or the donor?s preferred charity. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
