Gerald "Jerry" Degler, 73, of Wooster, died Monday March 13, 2006 at Regency Hospital in Barberton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with Rev. Dr. Bob Meyer officiating. ?Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. ?There will be no calling hours. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.

He was born January 12, 1933 in Millersburg, to David and Eva (Lint) Degler Jr.
He married Constance "Connie" Billiar on December 9, 1953. ?She preceded him in death in 2004.
He graduated from Millersburg High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. ?He retired from the City of Wooster Maintenance Department.
He attended Wayne Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling, golfing, music & helping other people. ?
He is survived by sons Greg Degler of Columbus and Brian Degler of Shreve; grandchildren, Parker, Stephanie, Justin, Danielle, and Christine Degler; great-grandchildren Anthony Ward and Alyssa Washington; brother Myron (Joyce) Degler of Millersburg, sister Juanita Martin of North Carolina; and his best friend, Jack Sargeant of Wooster.
His parents, stepfather Arthur Degler, brother Lloyd Degler, and sister-in-law Shirley Degler died previously.
