Gizella Juhas

Gizella Ann Juhas, 86, died Friday morning, May 19, 2006, at Brethren Care Village, where she had been a resident.

Born July 26, 1919, in Akron, she was the daughter of Stefan and Erma Pollock Krchnavy.

Mrs. Juhas was an office manager at Medical Associates for Dr. Paul Sauder, Dr. Jack Irvin and Dr. Lee Schaeffer.She was a bookkeeper for John Sauder CPA. She graduated from Akron Business College.

She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was an avid bingo player. She made the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic team in 1935.

She was married Nov. 29, 1941, to Julius Juhas, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Carol Clayton and Lois Cashell, both of Naples, Fla. and Paulette and David McBride of Ashland; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Theresa Juhas of Prospect; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her parents; two sons-in-law, John Clayton and Bob Cashell; and two sisters, Erma Ulrich and Albena Cuba, preceded her in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, at Roberts Funeral Home, 1058 US 250 North, Ashland. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Monday.
