Glen Austin Tisher, age 86, of Seville, died Saturday, December 10, 2005, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville.
Services will be Friday, December 16, 2005, at 11:00 am, at Roberts Funeral Home, Seville, with Pastor Jerry Keller officiating. ?Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.
There will be no calling hours. ?Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Acme Road, Seville, OH 44273.
He was born August 6, 1919, in Hannibal, Ohio, to Irvin and Ada (Schnell) Tisher. ?He married Edith Ann Dyke on August 7, 1945. ?She survives.
He served in the Army Air Corp as a bomber pilot in the European Theater of WWII. ?He flew many missions, always returning with all his crew. ?He was employed at PCA, retiring after 40 years service. ?He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, where he was a lifetime member and served as an usher. ?He was a member of the Seville Lions Club. ?After retiring, he took up farming as a hobby. ?Glen was a very proud, strong man with a great love for his country and will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith; sons John (Melody) Tisher of Wadsworth and Ron Tisher of Canton; grandchildren Molly and Kaitlin Tisher; loving sister Elna Gish-Street of York, PA; and many nieces and nephews. ?His parents and infant brother Melvin died previously.
