Glenna Marie Hess, 74, of Wooster went to be with her Lord, Tuesday August 21, 2007 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. ?Funeral services will be Saturday August 25, 2007 at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Daniel Ruegg and Larry DeVore officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. ?Friends may call Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Marie was born October 6, 1932 in Wood County, West Virginia to William Hugh and Cynthia Gay (Fortney) Toothman. ?Marie married Eldred Hess on February 7, 1954. ?He enjoyed 53 years of companionship.
She worked at Kidron Town and Country, Westinghouse, Howard Johnson, for the FBI in Washington and was a fulltime homemaker. ?She was an active member of the Burbank Road Church of Christ. ?She enjoyed camping, quilting and her large extended family.
Marie will be deeply missed by her husband Eldred, children Dianne (Carl) Crisp of Doylestown, Tim (Jeanie) Hess of Smithville, Lyle (Carol) Hess of Polk, Jeff (Rhonda) Hess of Massillon and Jay (Dawn) Hess of Wooster, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson, brothers Johnny (Theo) Toothman of Belpre, Ray Toothman of Hanahan, S.C., Leon (Patty) Toothman of Winfield, West Virginia, Lurea Cline of Parkersburg, West Virginia who was like a sister and VeaAnna Hooker of Fort Stockton, Texas who was like a daughter.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Millard, Derwood, Jasper and grandchildren Dustin and Jennifer.
The family would like to thank all who gave Marie excellent care during her lengthy illness.
