Glola McCartney

July 11, 1925 — February 24, 2012

Glola J. McCartney, 86, of Creston, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 24, 2012 at Smithville Western Care Center with her family by her side.



Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Boggs officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Glola was born July 11, 1925 in Orrville to Russell and Francis {Eberly} Lautenschlager. She graduated from Orrville High School in 1943.



She married John I. Myers, he died in 1962. She then married Junior McCartney. He died in 2003.



Glola worked Plaza Lanes, Frito Lay, Mr. Wiggs, and Freedlander’s shoe department. She was a member of the Crossroads Assembly of God in Creston. She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, traveling, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family.



Glola will be deeply missed by her children Joyce King of Creston, Charlene Klein (Stan Bosler) of Polk, Roger Myers of Wooster; step-children Nanetta Chapman of Dawsonville, GA, Dave (Linda) McCartney and Ricky McCartney all of Wooster; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;



Glola was preceded in death by her husbands John and Junior, brothers Loyal, Cloyd, and Russell Jr. Lautenschlager.
