Guy Benchoff Jr., 84, of Doylestown died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster. Services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster where military rites will be held. Guy was born April 15, 1923 in Belle Center to Guy Edward Sr. and Mary {Killough} Benchoff. He served in the US Army during WWII and married Eula Smith on July 12, 1955. She survives. Guy was a Sheet Metal worker in the construction industry for many years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers 70 Retirement Club and the American Legion Post 423. He enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Guy will be deeply missed by his wife, brothers Karl (Katie) and Pat (Margaret) Benchoff all of Wooster; sisters Betty Bechtel and Marilyn (Kenneth) Zimmerly all of Wooster, Joy Neugebauer of W. Minster, CA, Virginia (Marvin) Frase of Orrville, and Evelyn Garnes of Norton, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Guy is preceded in death by his brothers Donald, Dale, and Roger Benchoff.
