Guy W. Hostettler, 90, of Wooster died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster.Services will be Monday at 11:00AM at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Associate Pastor Joel Engman officiating.Friends may call Sunday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home.Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
Guy was born January 2, 1918 in Holmes County to Carl and Garnet (Wachtel) Hostettler.He married Evelyn Franks on July 3, 1938.
Guy worked for Timken for 37 years retiring in 1983.He was a member of the Shreve United Methodist Church and was also an active member of the Shreve Lions Club.He enjoyed hunting, fishing and participating in the Triway Capers.
In addition to his wife, Guy will be deeply missed by his children Ronald Hostettler of Talbotton, Georgia and Shirley Cox and John Edlin of Eastview, Kentucky, sisters Jeanne Troyer, Leta Leaman, Marjorie (Dave) Rinard and Naomi Biggs.
Guy was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Albert Hostettler, John Hostettler, Thelma Miller, Lavera Carter and Beulah Movens.
