Harold E. Premer was born and raised in Wayne County and has lived in the area his entire life. ?He was a Wooster High School graduate.
Harold was employed as a fork truck operator at the Timken Company in Wooster for 31 years. He also worked as a foreman of Buckeye Aluminum Co. for 1945-1954. ?He served in the U. S. Navy for three years during World War II.
?He was a board of trustee member for United Way, was affiliated with St. Mary's Catholic Church, the United Steelworkers of America and the Holmes-Wayne Central Labor Council. ?He served as president of Local 2730 of the Steelworkers for 21 years, and has also been vice president and was also an executive board member for the labor council.
Harold E. Premer, 85, of Wooster died Wed. May 7, 2008 at Wooster Community Hospital. ?There will no calling hours. ?Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Harold was born January 22, 1923 in Wooster, OH to Kenneth and Lucille Anna (Harmon) Premer. ?He married "Jackie" April 27, 1946.
He will be deeply missed by his children David M. Premer, and Debbie (Marvin) Scheibe both of Wooster, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, twin brother Dean Premer and sister Irene G. Weiker.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie, his brother Harmon and sisters Faye, Helen and Pearl.
