Harold E. Weiler, 76, of Wooster died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Pastor M. Dean Hammond officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born August 6, 1930 in Congress to James and Beryl Weiler. ?He married Opal Friend on June 12, 1955. ?She survives. ?He graduated from Wooster High School and the Indiana Institute of Technology where he earned a BSEM. ?Harold then served in the U. S. Army. Harold was an Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry including employment at Rubbermaid and Abbott Laboratories. ?During his retirement Harold worked for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. ?He was a member of Parkview Church of Christ, and was active in many Civic groups. ?Harold enjoyed model airplanes, woodworking, and tinkering.
In addition to his wife are sons James E. (Miriam) Weiler of Eagle, Pennsylvania and Timothy S. (Christine) Weiler of Rittman, 4 grandchildren and sisters Doris Padgett of Medina and Lois (George) Snader of Westerville.
A brother Carl Weiler died previously.
