Helen was born on April 24, 1925 in Leechburg, to Marvin M. and Violet L. (Crofertt) Thompson.In 1979, she married Raymond J. Nelson who preceded her in death in 2011.She served as an LPN for 40 years, retiring from Good Shepherd Home and Brethren Care.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Helen is survived by her children, Dennis (Iretta) Patterson of Hudson, FL and Brinda (Jim) Illig of Dade City, FL; her step children, Terry (Jean) Nelson of Ashland and Steven (Chris) Nelson of Jeromesville; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm, Monday, May 7, 2011 at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 N, Ashland with Pastor Harry Strachan officiating.Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
