Helen Edith Uhl, 83, of Wooster died Saturday, March 03, 2007 at West View Manor. ?A memorial service will be held at West View Manor Wednesday at 6pm with Pastor Dale RuLon officiating. ?Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.

Helen was born July 19, 1923 in Erie, PA to Clayton and Marie {Weiggel} Smith. ?She was raised on Kent Island, MD and married George F. Uhl on January 4, 1947. ?They spent 10 years in Asia while George was in the Air Force. ?From 1967 to 2003 they lived in suburban Washington, DC. ?Helen was a homemaker, mother, and volunteer. ?She was a member of the Episcopal Church, President of the Officer's Wives Club (USAF), Andrews Air Force Base Thrift Shop Volunteer, and President of the Andrews Air Force Base Foreign Affairs Club. ?After her husband?s death in 2003, she moved to Wooster to be with her daughter.
Helen will be deeply missed by her daughter Michelle D. (Bennett E. Werner) Uhl of Wooster; son Keith D. (Linda) Uhl of Franklin, TN; 2 grandchildren, Chris and Jessie Werner; sisters Ruth Warner of Mardela Springs MD, Grace Schevelin of Woodstown, NJ and Anne Smith of Alderson, WV.
Her husband and parents precede Helen in death.
