Hila Jean Carnes, 69, of Shreve, died Monday, August 6, 2007, at her residence in Shreve. ?Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.

Jean was born January 30, 1938, in Waverly, WV to Frank and Clarice (Kerr) Rowley.
She married Carl N. Carnes on August 28, 1958. ?She worked for Apple Creek Developmental Center for 18 years retiring in 1984. ?She and Carl then moved to Kansas for 4 years, returning to live in Ravenna, finally moving to Shreve in 2000. ?She enjoyed camping with her family, gardening, crocheting and quilting.
Jean will be deeply missed by her husband; children, Kevin (Belinda) Carnes of Clarington, Pa., Victoria (Antonio) D?Intino of Wooster, Carla (Dave) Davis of Doylestown, Hila (Mike) Hendrix of Wooster, and Kerry Carnes of Ravenna, grandchildren: ?Miranda and Andrea Pauken, Allison Carnes, Jonathan Sobczak, Nicole (Andy) Mendenhall, Eva and A.J. D?Intino, Jackie (Chris) Read, Bobby and Katie Davis, ?Amanda McQuillen, great-grandchildren; Jaden Windsor, Makayla Read, Aiden Davis, brothers; Melvin (Jean) Rowley of Midland, Pa., William (Eva) Rowley of Rootstown, OH.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
