Howard E. NeSmith Sr., age 85, passed away Wednesday morning, November 7th, at home surrounded by his loving family. ?
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. ?Services will be Saturday at 11am with the Rev. Ronald L. He was born on July 28, 1922, in Shingler, Georgia to the late Henry and Susie Mae (Jackson) NeSmith. ?He married Anagene Frazier on October 17, 1981. ?She survives. ?Howard retired as a Sargent Major from the U.S. Army after serving 30 years as a Medic during WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. ?
Howard enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with his family.
Howard will be deeply missed by his wife, sons, Howard E. NeSmith Jr., of San Antonio, TX, John (Janet) of Creston, OH, a step-son, Malcom (Deb) Frazier, a step-daughter, Gwendolyn (Danny) Dilyard of Wooster, OH; four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, and step-brother, Robert L. Simmons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia F. (Griswold), step-sister, Dorthy Agee, and step-son, Frank E. Frazier Jr.
