Ilean Schnell

Ilean D. Schnell, 83 , of Ashland, Ohio passed away Thursday Feb 4 at Hospice House.


Ilean was born in Detroit, MI on December 5, 1926. The daughter of George and Anna Hammer. Ilean resided in the Mansfield-Ashland area all of her life.



Ilean graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1945. she had been employed by H.L. Reed Co. Deptpartment Store on the Electric Money Line, and she also worked at the Mansfield News Journal on the Switchboard.



Surviving are her three sons and two daughters in-laws. Lawrence Schnell of Ashland, Douglas (Kandy) Schnell of Lexington, William(Kathy) Schnell of Ashland. She had the joy of eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ilean was married to Walter O Schnell-Father of her sons whom survies.


She was preceded in dead by her son Stanley Schnell, parents a brother George Hammer and sisters Ruth Hammer and Ann Nelson.




Private Funeral services at Roberts Funeral Home – Ashland Chapel, Ashland, and Pastor Skip Snell officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
